Top 5 Fashion Designers

I want to take a moment and talk about fashion designers.

I love clothes and how they look. I liked fashion and I love learning about fashion history. I recently watched a 10 minute vid about Betsey Johnson and it was fantastico.

So,  she is this designer who is 70 that creates very bright, punkish clothes. They're so cute and expensive! I love it. I have bought like..2 clutches from her from Ross because her actual stores are out of ctrl. Check her out.

The second designer I love/like is Gwen Stefani. Her Harajuku line is tres jolie. It's based off of the Harajuku district in Japan and incorporates their style into clothing and accessories. I am pretty sure it's targeted to pre-teens and teens, but I don't care. I just love it. Wicked style.

Okay, sooooo 3rd.

Third.

Why can't I think of anymore designers I enjoy?

Okay, well let's just cross out top five and say two.
Top Two.

Sorry, guys.

Still job hunting. I'm moving soon. I can't wait.

I am so excited for October. A lot of albums are coming out.

Fences' album is coming out!!!!

I'm stoked for it. All I need now is for Sleigh Bells to come out with a new record.

My Kind's Your Kind

Oh say say say! ;D

How are you guys? These days pass so fast. Pizza night! On Friday, since paint fumes were all over and I couldn't get
to my desk I brought my trusty Bible to work to find some scripture on my problem from before about my faith. So, while I was sitting, I was looking up scripture about dress and holiness. I kept getting a mind block, basically. I just could not focus and really get into the Word. I don't know why. So, I hopped onto the computer to see what others had to say about UPC standards and stuff. Off topic: those labels are ridiculous. Anyway, I saw a lot of negative stuff about it, and then I just started to pray. I asked God to help me find something somewhere that can guide me. I Googled once more and I found http://www.whyileft.org/ Blown away, dude. Not even kidding. It's this guy who was Pentecostal, and now is another faith. The only sections I was interested in was the standards and stuff, but he made some good points about my faith. It really opened my eyes. To a point. I still want to figure this out for myself. I am scared of rejection of my brothers & sisters. I'm happy because I found something that deep inside I've been looking for. Answers to the question, "why?" I'm hesitant of the future. I don't know if I'm ready for what's after my realization. What comes next? If you want to go to the website, feel free. I just want to share how I felt. While I reading the text and following along with my Bible, I was welling up. I was tearing up. It felt like a part of my heart had been flip-flopped. I don't know how to explain how many holes in my Christian foundation I felt at that moment. Unreal. I emailed my sister about the site, and what happened. She read through it, and called that night. We talked about it and kind of came to a decision. We both knew it wasn't really a decision but something we were going to do. We just said it out loud. Pentecostalism is what we grew up and we know it's right. Yes, it's not perfect but I know I haven't lost anything being in church and having a personal relationship with God. Being close to Him and knowing His voice. Nothing wrong with that! I don't want to go away from that. It would be worse. The most...devastating. I do want to learn and cope. Find my way in this...Truth. I feel like I'm taking the first steps to something great. Greater than my lifetime; but it feels like it would hurt. That's what I'm scared up. That pain and how quickly it can come. I just need to pray. Look what I did today!

They look rough, I know...I know. I'm working on it. Kthanks. Working on the music block. I think the pictures will work. We will see! 21. It's crazy. This year will be different; I feel it.

bye guys!

A few qualms...

I just asked a simple loaded question to my mom. I don't blame her at all, but this shook me. Ever since I can remember, I had certain standards in my faith. To 99.9% of people who know I'm Pentecostal they cringe, or feel sorry for me. I don't care so much anymore. I asked my mom why we don't wear colored nail polish. She basically dodged the question, and said what I already knew. We wear only clear nail polish and that's it. One thing that really struck me hard was she said bright or bold colors aren't permitted. No boldness. To me, that says to women to be plain. To fade into the background. By the way, the nail polish thing is not supported by the Bible. If it was, I wouldn't even consider getting into that. But I asked why. Why do Pentecostal women have to lay down and go with the waves of man-made rules? I think this is ludicrous. It's like a washing of a part of your personality or a way to smooth your grooves out. :( Sad-ness. Anyways, she couldn't answer me and it left me baffled. I didn't have any more questions, but to think that my Sunday School teacher taught me that along with no make-up, and no jewelry. No reason; when I was young I didn't need a reason, but now I want to know how these rules came to be. Some crappy old person made these rules up. Maybe to please God, but to me this isn't pleasing Him. If you do wear red nail polish I know that my church wold scorn you! It's like flippin' Hestor Prinn! I've seen it with my own eyes. In no way am I renouncing my faith. Or Jesus. I just don't want to blindly believe something that has no reason. If the stuff I believe in has no reason or purpose behind it how am I going to tell someone else about my faith? Or be a witness if I don't even know what I believe in?! I can't. The last thing my mom did was point fingers. She accused our church members of wearing different types of clear to tinted polish. Shocked me to my core. What am I believing in? I hurt...deep inside.

Wanted: Necklace. Ending Date To Have: Eternity.

I feel needy.
Okay, hey guys. :3
Everyone's blogging! Yay!! It makes me happy inside. To the serious to the business woman, to me. I am just giddy. :D So neediness. I feel it because there is something I've been wanting ever since I was a tweener! This necklace from The Prince Of Egypt Moses wore when he was a teenager in Egypt causing trouble:

Actually, he was in a ceremony; they named him successor after his fake dad. Moses was a win; his adopted dad chose him over his real son. If you find anything similar to this necklace and it's available to buy, let me know! I want it. ;_; So badly. It reminds me of the bib necklaces out now. By the way, that's a wonderful movie. Even if you aren't a Bible fan, it's good. The music gets you. It's so pretty. Ironically, it's playing on my iPod. :D Ah, summer time. I talked to my school counselors about transferring, I am very excited about getting out of here.
Scott Pilgrim is coming out this weekend!! Who is going to see it!?? I am! O___O MichaelCeraMichaelCeraMichaelCera. I am not really going for anyone in particular. Just the movie. kbyes!

My First Post!

So, this is my first post!

What do I say first? Thank you for taking a look? Thanks for nothing? Maybe not the last one, but this is my first semi-serious blog since msnspace. What I will be writing about will be adventures I get myself into, sewing, crochet-ing, DIY, and just my life in general. I do want to start my own sewing deal called Bare Bones [thanks Kim!] and make a neat Etsy. That's all in the woodwork right now because I have ghey things like school and work, but I'll do my best to supply the internetz with something the kids crave. ;) I also might just have an off day and just write about my week or something. Whatevs.

My phone got stolen.

Rachel
